The Compounding Apothecary was founded in 1998 by Susan Matsuo, R. Ph, and graduate of Bastyr University
specializing in traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine. With over 25 years of experience as a pharmacist and
student of western medicine, her work in the long tradition of compounding, and her extensive training in
the traditions of the east, Susan Matsuo has an unparalleled blend of western and eastern medicinal
knowledge. She knows the importance and strengths of both schools of medicine and can work with your doctor
to make you aware of the many different options available to you.The Compounding Apothecary specializes in natural hormone replacement therapy, custom creams for anti-aging, wrinkles and pain relief, compounding, and Chinese herbal medicine. As a fully licensed pharmacy, we are capable of creating custom drug formats for your prescriptions, with approval by your doctor. 
Located on the shores of the Puget Sound in Edmonds, WA, The Compounding Apothecary's comfortable and
beautiful offices house a state-of-the-art Class 'A' compounding pharmacy. Custom drug formats are made in-house,
